Jennifer Lawrence Skips Oscars: 'Joy' Actress Spotted Taking A Stroll In Boston With Her Dog--Report
Jennifer Lawrence was reportedly spotted at the Prudential Center in Boston on Sunday. The actress was reportedly spotted cruising through the shops with her dog, Pippi.
According to People, Lawrence was dressed in a black jacket and grey knit cap. She had reportedly skipped the Oscars and was shooting for her film “Joy” in Boston. According to Daily Mail, Jennifer had pulled back her hair in a ponytail and wore no make-up. She also had a black headband on. Lawrence plays the role of Joy Mangano in “Joy”, who is a struggling single mother. She lives in Long Island and faces the challenges of life to become the most successful entrepreneur. She invents a Miracle Mop, which goes on to become a bestseller and turns around her financial condition. David O. Russell is directing the film and he wrote the screenplay of the film alongside Annie Mumolo.
According to Russell, “Joy” is an unexpected movie. It will reportedly be a new terrain for Lawrence as well as Russell, according to Collider. “It’s set in the ‘80s and ‘90s, but I’m going to take a different approach musically than I’ve ever taken before. I aspire to make an unexpected movie, both for myself and for Jennifer. It’s about a woman… what’s inside her,” said the director about the film.
He also added that the film will be an “intense emotional” look at “woman’s heart.” The director is reportedly taking many risks with this film. Jennifer has recently started shooting for “Joy.” In her free time, she has been reportedly seen at Prudential Center, where she takes Flywheel classes. The insiders have told People that she comes to the mall after the lights go down. She has been reportedly seen taking flywheel classes during the weekends.
Meanwhile, this is one of the rare occasions that the actress has skipped Oscars. For her last year’s appearance at the Academy Awards, she wore a stunning red Dior gown. She wore Neil Jane jewelry and accesorised her look with a matching clutch. Last year she was nominated for the Best Actress role in “American Hustle.”
