The highly anticipated film event of the year is up to hit the big screen this March 23 and the lovely lady who plays the fierce lead, Jennifer Lawrence finally speaks up on being in the biggest film ever, "The Hunger Games." Lawrence speaks up on playing Katniss, her rumored beef with Kristen Stewart and filming "Catching Fire."

Hollywood has seen her acting chops in "Winter's Bone" where she was nominated by the Academy for Best Actress. Despite losing the prestigious award to "Black Swan's" Natalie Portman, Lawrence continued to wow the audience not only with her acting talents but with her glamorous red carpet looks.

Now that she plays a highly known character from Suzanne Collins best selling post-apocalyptic novel, "The Hunger Games", Jennifer says she connects with Katniss in a higher level and that she knew she had to play her.

"I knew I could read the lines and say them without forcing anything. I could speak as this character," says Lawrence. "There are a lot of scripts where I simply can't find those words. There are no way those words can come out of my mouth and feel natural. Katniss is a girl I can understand."

Apart from connecting with her character in the film, Lawrence also shares her understanding of the "Hunger Games" and how it reflects the society the world currently lives in.

"The books hold up a terrible kind of mirror: This is what our society could be like if we became desensitized to trauma and to each other's pain," shares Jennifer as to why other people also relate to the Suzanne Collins' novel.

Though the "Hunger Games" is yet to hit the big screen, preparation for the sequel "Catching Fire" is already underway. Is Jennifer Lawrence starting to regret the decision of signing up for a big franchise film?

"It's kind of like when we're there, let's talk about it. But until then I'm sick of hearing about myself as Katniss," shared Lawrence in an interview done by MTV. "And also we've been focusing on getting this one out so much that we haven't really had time to talk about the second one. I'm sure they've had time."

While Lawrence may be enjoying the spotlight she's been thrust into now, the 21-year old shares her share of the celebrity drama. Rumors passed around about a fight between the blonde beauty and a certain dark haired gal, Kristen Stewart. Knowing Hollywood and its' knack for creating controversies, Lawrence knew the higher road and how to deal with such rumors.

"I wrote her an email because there was this huge, like, article about a Twilight and Hunger Games feud," said Jennifer pertaining to a tabloid article about her beef with KStew. "And we've never met before and never spoken. There were all these, like, fake quotes from me that were actually hilarious. I just shot her an email, and was like, 'Hey, can't wait to see more as this feud unfolds!"

The question is did Kristen Stewart email her back? The "Twilight" actress apparently did and she too shared her share of the humor.

"[Kristen] wrote me back, and she was like, 'It's fine. Welcome to [our] world where everything you say gets turned into [something it's not],'" said Lawrence. "So, she understood."
