Jessica Biel Legally Takes Husband Justin Timberlake’s Last Name
Jessica Biel is officially Jessica Timberlake. The 31-year-old U.S. actress has reportedly legally taken her husband Justin Timberlake’s last name, though she will continue to use Biel professionally.
“It’s official! The paperwork is done and she’s now legally Jessica Timberlake,” a source told Life & Style magazine.
“She said she’s changing her last name legally and Timberlake is the coolest last name she has ever heard.”
The former “Seventh Heaven” actress married the ex-‘N Sync singer in October 2012 after dating for five years.
“Every once in a while I can catch a glimpse of her when she doesn’t see me looking, and I have this moment where I’m like, ‘If you never make a good decision... if you only make bad decisions for the rest of your life. You made one really good decision,’” Justin said of his wife when he visited Ellen Degeneres in her show.
“It’s nice to marry your best friend. It suits me.”
Jessica isn’t the only celebrity who has taken her husband’s last name.
Jennifer Garner may still go by her famous name professionally, but she’s legally Jennifer Affleck after taking husband Ben’s last name. Victoria Beckham used to be known as Victoria Adams when she was still Posh Spice, but she decided to change her last name both legally and professionally when she married David Beckham in 1999.
Salma Hayek added Pinault to her name after her French billionaire husband Francois-Henri Pinault, while Jenna Dewan-Tatum added Channing Tatum’s last name to hers when they tied the knot in 2009.
Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas not only changed her last name to Duhamel, taking on husband Josh Duhamel’s, but also her full name. She was born Stacy Ann Ferguson, but since no one has called her Stacy Ann for a long time, she decided to legally change her name to Fergie in August 2013, thus making her Fergie Duhamel.
In case of Australian actress Portia De Rossi, she became Portia DeGeneres legally two years after marrying Ellen DeGeneres in 2008.
