The body of Jim Carrey’s late girlfriend Cathriona White was reportedly released on Monday afternoon to her husband, Mark Damian Burton.

It was earlier reported that White was married at the time of her death. White, however, was separated from her husband and was going to file for divorce sometime in December, E! News reported.

White, who allegedly committed suicide, was found dead in her house on Sept. 28. There were four different bottles of medicine and several notes found near her body. One of the letters was reportedly addressed to Carrey, who dated her on and off.

Meanwhile, the LA coroner’s office is still investigating her death. An autopsy on White’s body has been performed, but the cause of her death hasn’t been revealed, ET Online reported.

A source told ET Online that the pills that White might have consumed belonged to Carrey.

"The pills were Jim's, but he was unaware she took them from him. He only takes them every once in a while and it took him a couple days to realize they were missing," the source said.

Carrey and White were last seen together on a date on Sept. 19 at Nobu in Malibu, California, according to reports.

Carrey has released a statement, expressing his shock and sadness over the death of his “sweet Cathriona.”

“She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt,” the actor was quoted as saying by Entertainment Weekly.
