Jumper interrupts NBC’s 'Today' show
A man jumped over the barricade separating onlookers from Today's hosts
A still unidentified man has jumped barricades at the outdoor studio of the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) show, “Today”.
NBC News anchor, Ann Curry said in her subsequent post on Twitter that everyone on the show is ‘OK’ and has gotten over the surprising intermission of the day’s episode.
“Weirded out”, the Associated Press quoted Curry as saying, “but OK”.
The New York police said that the man is currently being evaluated for emotional problems after the incident.
The AP said the man jumped a barricade separating the onlookers from TV personalities Meredith Vieira, Al Roker and the day’s guest host, Willi Geist, who were all standing outside before they were surprised by the male jumper.
Roker added AP noted that the man was heard saying something about God and music.
NY City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly has not confirmed if the man will face charges after the interruption.
