Justin Bieber has landed himself in monkey business - literally. Thursday last week, Justin's pet monkey named "Mally" was seized by German customs. Bieber failed to produce documents to the customs with regards to the additional passenger on board his Munich private jet. Now, German authorities are giving Justin four weeks to get his pet monkey or he'll have to bid adieu to Mally forever.

Mally the monkey surprised a lot of "Beliebers" when his photo appeared on Twitter all thanks to Justin Bieber. However, that would be the last time fans of the 19-year old singer would hear and see from Justin if the Canadian crooner fails to present legal documents at German customs in four weeks.

The Capuchin monkey was taken by Bieber as a 19th birthday present during his tour in Munich. Mally was taken along the ride in Bieber's private plane but was seized by German customs. Justin had apparently forgotten about the legal documents needed when transporting wildlife creatures.

"Justin Bieber brought his monkey to Germany, but had no official paperwork with him," said German Airport Spokesman, Thomas Meister, adding, "We were forced to confiscate the animal."

According to shelter representatives were Mally is currently in, Justin has exactly four weeks to pick up his pet monkey. Though some reps at the shelter insist Mally is better off stuck with them, Justin had taken away a protected species as such a young age which was a "monstrous" move.

"I can confirm that the monkey is 14 weeks old and was apparently taken away from its mother when it was between nine and 10 weeks old. This is much too early", stated the shelter representative.

"He is clearly traumatised at being taken away from his family group," said the rep, adding, "These monkeys not only need to be with their mothers for at least a year - but they should also be surrounded by their family group."

"They are living creatures - not celebrity accessories like a handbag. Imagine a human baby sent off on a world tour at 10 weeks - would anyone allow that?" exclaimed Kurt Grabenwoeger, an Austrian veterinarian.

Justin nor his reps still have not responded with regards to the Mally monkey issue. Given all the trouble Bieber is in, the monkey is the least of his priorities.
