Justin Bieber's Role In 'Zoolander 2' Accidentally Revealed
Justin Bieber will reportedly have a cameo scene in “Zoolander 2.” Details to his involvement in the film have yet to be released. However, Wikipedia may have accidentally revealed the pop star’s role in the film.
According to a Wikipedia entry on “Zoolander 2,” Justin Bieber’s character in the sequel is named as Rinjef “Jeff” Qalmok-Dravinski. He will reportedly play the role of an accident-prone young man. Whether this listing is valid or not still remains unconfirmed. However, the singer’s role has since been removed from the Wikipedia entry. According to Inquisitr, details to the singer’s involvement in the film were posted on May 1 but were later removed on May 2. The site, however, managed to grab a screenshot of the entry before the deletion.
Justin Bieber also alluded to his cameo appearance in “Zoolander 2” on his Facebook page. On Monday, April 27, the Canadian pop star wrote, “working on something big right now in Europe.” He also wrote “he is so hot right now,” which, according to The Hollywood Reporter, was a line referencing to a joke from the first “Zoolander” film.
Then on Wednesday, April 29, Bieber shared a photo of him and “Zoolander” star Ben Stiller on his Instagram page to announce his involvement in the film. The pair could be seen facing each other with Stiller doing his signature character look as Derek Zoolander. Justin captioned the image with the hash tags “Zoolander 2” and “itsawignotmynewhair.”
The same photo was shared by Ben Stiller on his Instagram page to welcome Justin Bieber in the film. It was captioned with “#Zoolander2 @justinbieber.” The image has since received 55,000 likes with fans expressing their intent to watch the sequel as soon as it comes out on theatres.
“Zoolander 2” is scheduled for a U.S. release on Feb. 12, 2016. Justin Bieber will be joining the film's returning cast members, which include Ben Stiller (Derek Zoolander), Owen Wilson (Hansel McDonald), Christine Taylor (Matilda Jeffries), Will Ferrell (Jacobim Mugatu) and Billy Zane (undisclosed role). Other stars in the sequel include Penelope Cruz, Kristen Wiig, Cyrus Arnold and Fred Armisen, whose roles in the sequel are yet to be revealed.
