Kate Middleton's Baby No. 2 Birth: End Date Of Parking Restrictions At Lindo Wing Hint Royal's Due
The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge once revealed she’s due to give birth to her second child mid-to-end of April. Reports have also circulated that the new royal will be born on the 25th. However, Kate Middleton is already past her due and royal watchers are wondering when exactly baby no. 2 will come out. Parking restrictions at Lindo Wing have also been extended, hinting the baby isn’t due to come out until first week of May.
The initial parking restriction dates outside the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital was dated for April 15 to April 30. However, considering the Duchess of Cambridge has yet to give birth to baby no. 2, the restriction has been extended into the month of May. According to Mirror UK, the Westminster City Council has decided to extend parking restrictions for another five days until the first week of May, but restrictions will reportedly be extended again if there is still no sign of Kate Middleton going into labour.
"The parking restrictions will be extended at the moment for the next five days until May 5. If there is still no news by then it will be extended again,” a spokesman for the Westminster City Council said.
This extension leaves royal watchers, especially those camped outside the Lindo Wing, less sure of when baby no. 2 will come out. Supporters had a momentary thrill on Wednesday, April 29, after seeing increased security activity around the hospital and outside Lindo Wing. The presence of a police and his sniffer dog in the morning triggered speculation that Kate Middleton had already gone into labour.
Royal aides were also spotted standing outside the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital later in the afternoon. However, according to Mirror UK reporter Victoria Murphy, the aides only came down to the hospital to appease the royal watchers. Likewise, the presence of the police team was supposedly only meant to ensure the safety around the hospital area prior to the Duchess of Cambridge’s arrival.
“They say they came to relax us and have a chat because there are so many media gathering here,” Murphy said. "However it had the opposite effect and everyone got very excited and thinking there would be an imminent announcement, but they insisted there would not be,” she added.
