Kate Middleton’s parents face £100,000 bill' for the much-anticipated wedding of their daughter at London’s historic Westminster Abbey on April 29.
The amount covers expenses for the hotel suites, bridal gowns, bridesmaids’ dresses, the maid of honour’s outfit and the honeymoon of Prince William and Kate Middleton, according to the Sunday Times.
Still citing a report by Sunday Times, the Agence France Presse noted that Kate’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton are expected to pay for the suites at the Goring hotel in Belgravia, London.
These include the suites to be used by Kate herself and sister Pippa, the Royal Wedding’s maid of honour.
Kate’s brother, James is also reportedly staying at a hotel not far from Buckingham Palace and his expenses will also be paid for by the future bride’s parents.
Without citing its sources, the Sunday Times said according to AFP that Kate’s parents are spending an estimated £20,000 for the hotel bills alone.
The AFP noted that the Middletons have reportedly paid £30,000 for Kate's bridal gowns and £20,000 for Pippa's dress.
The Royal family has agreed to share the wedding expenses with the Middletons for the Royal Wedding at Westminster Abbey on April 29. The government however will pick up the tab for the security that will be in place on the big day.
