To play in a Freddie Mercury biopic can be Katy Perry's another 'dream come true.'

The 'Part of Me' singer is all lined up to play the role of the girlfriend of the front man of the iconic band 'Queen.' According to The Mirror, Perry is set to play Mary Austin who shared a relationship with Mercury during the 70s era.

The role she will play is very monumental for Austin stayed as one of the closest friends that Mercury confided to up to the final days of his life. He died at age 45.

The filming of the upcoming flick is set to begin by next year and rumours are spreading that The Dictator star, Sacha Baron Cohen, will play Freddie Mercury. It will play around the formative years of the band up to their most unforgettable performance in 1985 for the Live Aid Charity event.

It is a known fact to Katy Perry's fans and friends how much the 'Teenage Dream' star is such a great fan herself of the music legend. In fact, she even described Mercury once as her 'musical idol.'
