Kevin Hart mimics David Beckham in funny H&M Modern Essentials fashion campaign [Watch Video]

H&M’s new campaign for Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham features a funny video starring the retired English professional soccer player and comedian Kevin Hart. Hart can be seen mimicking Beckham in this campaign, including the way he walks, talks and wears his H&M clothes.

The latest H&M menswear campaign shows Hart portraying the role of a method actor who tries to transform into Beckham, which includes perfecting his English accent and drinking lots of tea. The hilarious fashion campaign features the comedian moving in with the ex-football player in a bid to copy his body language and mannerisms. The actor appears to be working so hard on his stances for the upcoming fictional movie “I, Beckham,” in which he is supposedly playing David Beckham.

The 6 minute 50 second video shows Beckham involved in the shoot of his Modern Essentials collaboration with H&M. At the beginning of the video, the H&M shoot comes to a halt as Hart gatecrashes the set. Both Hart and Beckham are seen sporting the same clothes throughout the video.

Beckham spoke to H&M about the concept of the campaign as well as his co-star in it.

“Kevin Hart is one of the funniest, smartest guys around. I love to do the unexpected for my H&M campaigns. I hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as I did making it,” David Beckham said in a statement from H&M’s press release.

Hart also talked about his experience working with Beckham.

“To be able to make fun of a global icon like David Beckham is a comedian’s dream. I love fashion as much as I love sports, which is why I was so excited to star in David’s new H&M campaign,” Hart said in the same press release.

Beckham praised Hart for his spontaneity, according to H&M Life. He added that working with the comedian was an enjoyable experience for him. He even had to stop himself from laughing throughout the shoot. Hart, on the other hand, told H&M Life that for him, it was easy to shoot the campaign because he really is a big fan of Beckham that’s why it wasn’t a difficult task for him. Hart also joked that he has something in common with Beckham, which is their “sexiness.”
