Kevin Hart Wins Comedic Genius Award At MTV, Gives Heartfelt Speech

Kevin Hart triumped during the 2015 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night as he was awarded the Comedic Genius Award. The 35-year old comedian brought his two kids to the stage, and proceeded to give the a heartfelt speech, mostly thanking his kids, to whom he dedicates everything he does for.

The Pennsylvania-born actor highlighted his kids, who he brought to the stage, in his acceptance speech for the award. According to Billboard, the comedian thanked his children Heaven and Heandrix for being his best friends. “My kids, I'm doing all of this for them. I'm trying to leave a legacy for them,” he said. He also thanked his ex-wife Torrei for giving him his “amazing” daughter and son, as well as fiancée Eniko Parrish for being “his rock,” his manager Dave Becky, Hartbeat Productions, and last but not the least, his supporters.

Fellow comedian Jimmy Kimmel presented the award to the actor-comedian by first introducing the latter with a few height jokes. He then lauded Hart for his “bold and irreverent comedic style that has captivated the audience,” the Hollywood Reporter quoted. Hart is renowned for capturing the hearts of his crowd with his movies, sitcoms, stand-up specials, and award show performances.

Kevin Hart is recently on tour for his comedic concert “What Now?” which started on April 9. According to Forbes, the said concert is set to become the highest-grossing comedy tour in history, with Hart becoming the first comedian ever to top off stadium tours when he performs. He will conquer Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field to be carried out on August 30.

Hart has also recently starred in “Get Hard” with Will Ferrell and “The Wedding Ringer.” Co-jesters are fond of throwing Hart jabs that consists of short jokes, calling him names like Eddie Smurfy, Tracy Munchkin, Cedric the Entertiny, and Bernie Mac Nugget. Although Kevin Hart is short, fans believed that he has a big shot for success. Following his winning of the MTV Comedic Genius Award, Kevin posted a photo of himself together with his kids on Instagram captioned, “me and my best friends hanging out at the MTV Movie Awards. We are the Hart’s.’
