Khloe and Kim Kardashian take Armenia in this week's episode of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians'
This week, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” returns for a special four-part coverage of the family’s trip to their ancestral home in Armenia. Khloe Kardashian goes with her sister, Kim Kardashian, and her family. While there, they learn about their roots and raise awareness about the Armenian genocide.
After planning the trip since they were little kids, Khloe and Kim finally make their way to Armenia. Their sister Kourtney is unable to join them because she had just given birth. Meanwhile, their brother Rob also didn’t come due to some personal issues.
Their cousins Kourtni and Kara decide to join, as well as Kim’s husband Kanye and their child, North. As soon as they arrive in Yerevan, the group is met by government officials and hundreds of fans.
Khloe is overwhelmed, especially by the attention that Kim is getting. She says that Kim is literally being treated like royalty and everyone appears to be willing to give her whatever she asks for.
While there, they visit their ancestral town of Gyumri, where their great grandparents’ house still stands. Through the help of historians and local genealogy experts, they learn that their ancestors started the local cheese factory and that they were well-loved members of the community.
While learning about their bloodline, they realise that their brother Rob is the last male Kardashian who can carry the name. They then express their concern about him and hope that he manages to get his life back on track.
Later, the girls visit the genocide memorial. They learn more about what took place during the genocide and they pay their respects. They try to raise more awareness about Armenian history by speaking about it on their social media accounts. They are surprised to learn that so many people are unaware about what took place in Armenia during the genocide.
In the upcoming episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Kim and Kanye bring their daughter to Jerusalem to be baptised. The series airs every Monday on E! at 9:30 p.m. AEST.
