Killer ‘HTC Desire 620’ At $345 To Feature 5-Inch Display, 64-Bit Processor, Dual-SIM, 4G LTE And More
The HTC Desire 620 was introduced towards the end of November and the release date is expected to be sometime in December. During the announcement, HTC confirmed the release in its home-country Taiwan, but there was no official confirmation on the international release. But now, the company has announced that the Desire 620 will be released in Europe, sometime in January 2015.
Speaking of price, the mid-range HTC Desire 620 will set the buyers back by 279 euro in Germany, which roughly translates to US$345, AU$415 and 220 GBP. In addition, the device will be offered by O2, EE, Three and Carphone Warehouse, among others, in the UK. However, the UK-specific pricing details are not known at this point, notes Phone Arena.
Moving on to the key specifications, the HTC Desire 620 features a 5-inch display, complemented by 720 x 1,280 pixels screen resolution. This display combination translates to a pixel density of 294 ppi. Under the hood, the Desire 610 successor is powered by a 64-bit quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 410) Cortex-A53 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz and backed by a modest 1 GB of RAM. When it comes to camera configuration, the handset sports an 8 MP rear-facing camera unit with LED flash and a surprisingly good 5 MP front-facing shooter for selfies. On the software side, the smartphone runs on Android v4.4.4 KitKat OS, along with HTC Sense UI on top of it. However, there is no information available to ascertain the time-frame of Lollipop update, at this point.
As far as the memory goes, the device comes equipped with 8 GB of built-in storage and microSD card support for expansion up to 128 GB. Also, the device is expected to come in blue, black, gray and white hues. Apart from supporting the standard connectivity options, the Desire 620 supports 4G LTE and NFC. More importantly, this killer mid-range smartphone comes with dual-SIM support and employs micro-SIM type. Lastly, the entire configuration is powered by a Li-Po 2,100 mAh battery unit.
