Xiaomi has officially announced a special version of the Mi Note smartphone dubbed the “Xiaomi Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition.” On the other hand, several months back, there were rumours that Meizu will partner with Nokia in order to build the “Meizu MX4 Supreme” smartphone. But now, this news has been confirmed by a Weibo account poster.

Xiaomi Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition

As the name suggests, the Xiaomi Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition features a bamboo rear cover. With this cover, the device reportedly becomes 5 g lighter when compared to the original Mi Note. Adding a cherry on top, this interesting variant apparently costs the same as the original device. Therefore, the Xiaomi Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition price is quoted to be roughly $370 i.e. 2,299 CNY in China. And the release date of this unique edition is reportedly set for March 24, notes Phone Arena.

As far as the key Xiaomi Mi Note specifications go, the handset comes with a 5.7-inch display and 1080p resolution. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and backed by a good 3 GB of RAM configuration. Speaking of camera specification, there is a solid 13 MP rear-facing camera unit and a gracious 4 MP front-facing shooter for selfies. And lastly, the whole configuration is held together and kept powered-on by a whopping 3,000 mAh battery unit. And readers can check out the impressive images of the new variant from MIUI. In any case, readers should note that the tech giant has not confirmed the Xiaomi Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition release date outside China yet.

Meizu MX4 Supreme

Even though, Li Nan, Meizu's Vice President of Science and Technology, apparently shot down the speculation of a possible partnership with Nokia for the MX4 Supreme, new evidence points to such a deal. Reportedly, the Weibo account named Ubuntu Team has shared a poster confirming the existence of the Meizu MX4 Supreme.

The poster says the following: “60, MX4 Plus, MX4 Pro Mini Plus, Lumia 1030, MX4, Supreme, Meizu powered by Nokia.” Although, trying to make sense of the above message is not possible at this juncture, the note about MX4 Supreme being powered by Nokia stands out. This means, Nokia will reportedly be responsible for the under-the-hood configurations of the upcoming Meizu device, notes GSM Arena. Readers can check out the poster from GSM Arena. In the meantime, readers should note that, the Microsoft deal reportedly prohibits Nokia from manufacturing or selling devices with Nokia branding until 2016.
