'Knights of the Round Table': Charlie Hunnam's First Look As King Arthur Teased By Guy Ritchie
The first look of Charlie Hunnam from the sets of Guy Ritchie’s “Knights of the Round Table” has been revealed. The photo was tweeted by Guy and it shows Hunnam dressed in a long brown coat with his hair tied back. He can be seen carrying a sling bag as Guy stands beside him. It seems that shot has been taken in the morning as sun rays can be seen filtering through the trees. Guy captioned the picture as “First day on KORT.”
In the film, Hunnam plays the role of King Arthur. The film is based on the classic Sir Lancelot story. According to the official synopsis, the film will feature a “streetwise” version of Arthur who heads a gang in Londonium, reported Collider. His future takes a twist after he gets hold of sword Excalibur. He must learn to the art of using the sword and get back his throne as the king.
Hunnam has recently wrapped the final season of his hit biker drama “Sons of Anarchy.” In the series, he played the role of Jax Teller who is the president of Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club's. In the last episode of “SOA” season 7 “Papa’s Good” Hunnam’s character died.
The 34-year-old actor has teamed up with Jude Law, Eric Bana, and Astrid Bergès-Frisbey for Guy’s film. In “Knights of the Round Table” Jude will be seen playing main villain Vortigern meanwhile, Astrid will play “mysterious young woman named Guinever.” Bana will play Hunnam’s father in the film
“Knights of the Round Table” is scheduled to be released on July 22, 2016. The screenplay of the film has been written by Joby Harold. The production of the film will take place in London, Wales and Scotland. John Mathieson will do the cinematography for the film. Meanwhile, Hunnam will also be seen in Guillermo del Toro’s “Crimson Peak.” As opposed to the role King Arthur, in the film he plays Dr. Alan McMichael who is “shy, quite and thoughtful” guy” and is in love with female lead of the film,” reported Collider.
