Kourtney Kardashian took to Instagram on Friday to explain why she skipped the Kardashian family’s highly publicised trip to Armenia. Kourtney posted a photo of sisters Kim and Khloe, who are currently enjoying their visit to their ancestral homeland, aiming to learn more about their roots.

The 35-year-old beauty wished she was with her sisters on National Siblings Day. She captioned her Instagram photo with: "I didn't end up going to Armenia because it was making me too anxious with three young children," she explained, adding, "I do wish that I could have experienced the trip with my sisters but I do know that we will all go to Armenia together someday."

Kourtney was initially on board to pay a visit to late father Robert Kardashian’s country when the trip was first revealed in January. She was planning to take then-one-month-old son Reign with her, along with daughters Penelope and Mason. Longtime boyfriend Scott Disick was not originally part of the plan and as months went by, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians Star” was already having second thoughts about going, Us Weekly reported.

Kim Kardashian West and Khloe Kardashian still opted to carry on with the trip, along with other family members including Kim’s husband Kanye and 21-month-old daughter North and cousins Kara and Kourtni. Kourtney’s brother Rob, who was reportedly dealing with depression as of the moment, was also missing from the Armenian-American family vacation. Cousin Krista, sister of Kara and Kourtni, also could not make it.

The reality stars and their families, who were staying at the Mariott hotel while in Armenia, met with Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan on Thursday, April 9, who praised them for bringing attention to the land of their heritage. On Friday, April 10, they went to the Armenian Genocide Memorial in the nation’s capital Yerevam. The sisters offered red tulips at the memorial’s eternal flame in honor of the 1.5 million victims of the city’s genocide, which will celebrate its 1,000 year anniversary on April 24. Their group also listened to a talk given by deputy director of the Genocide Institute, Suren Manukian, E! News stated.

Also on Friday, the stars were issued a plot of land by an Armenian company. Khloé then posted photos on her Facebook of certificates given to them, saying those were souvenirs for siblings Kourtney and Rob.
