Kristen Stewart Endorses Chanel's Eyewear Range, Opts For Androgynous Look For Their Ad Campaign [See Video]

Kristen Stewart has been the face of Chanel since long but the French fashion house has now signed the Hollywood actress for their sunglasses and opticals range for spring/summer 2015. The 24-year-old has appeared in sexy new black and white pictures wearing stylish eyewear. Ace photographer Karl Lagerfeld has shot her pictures for Chanel.

“Kristen Stewart gives a subtly rock yet always elegant touch to the new Chanel frames. Vintage camera in hand, she gazes at a scene known only to her,” the press release states, according to People magazine. Models who have appeared in the ad campaign for Chanel eyewear in the past include Alice Dellal, Claudia Schiffer and Linda Evangelista.

In the black and white images, which can be seen here, the actress looks beautiful in the androgynous and minimal make-up look. Her short hair fall all over her face in various poses as she models for various designer sunglasses from Chanel. Some of the designs include the aviators, pearl-encrusted sunglasses, and even sleek, no nonsense reading frames.

Chanel has also released an interesting behind-the-scenes video from the photoshoot. The video shows a very confident Stewart posing in front of the camera wearing different styles of frames. She relaxes on the set in a white t-shirt and even interacts with Lagerfeld in a casual way. Check out the video below.

The actress has been a fan of the talented photographer since a long time and has been quite vocal about her feelings for him. In a previous interview, she told Grazia magazine that people get intimidated working with Lagerfeld but “the only intimidating thing about [Karl Lagerfeld] really is that scary unapproachable facade which is something people project onto him.” Stewart said that working with him is “so awesome" and he is “everything that my experiences taught me about true artists.”

The Kristen Stewart ad campaign for Chanel has received an amazing response on social media with various critics calling the pictures as “some of the best shots Chanel has done in a long time.” A YouTube user Sidney Marentette writes that Stewart looks “fabulous as hell" in the pictures. Another YouTube user TobuKobuta writes that he does not like Stewart at all “but I have to admit this campaign is EVERYTHING!!! I love it!."
