The mad scramble for Android mobile phones to get the latest Android would likely end by early July and the recipient appears to be a mid-range smartphone made by LG - the Optimus L7 II.

The South Korean device manufacturer recently ran an advert for the L7 II and it was quickly picked up by TechTastic. Among the noticeable features of the upcoming gadget are its dual-SIM capability and an 8MP main cam shooter.

However, what realty caught the eye of the tech blog site is an entry that says the LG Optimus variant is debuting with Jelly Bean 4.3, the rumoured Google mobile OS that the tech giant had opted not to unveil during its I/O Developers Conference last month.

LG's official site reportedly mentioned more than once that the new Android flavour will be on board in time the L7 II's scheduled release date, the actual month and day of which the report did not specify.

If the report proved a spot-on, it is likely that Jelly Bean 4.3 will make a landfall a few weeks after the arrival of the new Nexus-styled HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4, which Google Play Store will start carrying on June 26.

Also, there is a possibility that the new Android release will coincide with that of the rumoured Sony Xperia Z Nexus, which blog reports will begin rolling out anytime in July. Note, however, that all three smartphones will be offered initially in the United States with Jelly Bean 4.2.2 running the show.

On the other hand, the L7 II is said to be geared for mostly an Asian audience, leading to the likelihood that markets in Asia-Pacific, Australia including, will get a first taste of the new Google baby.

Dropping Jelly Bean 4.3 first on an LG unit makes sense, according to Gotta Be Mobile, as the company has a prior history of working with Google. It was famously anointed last year to exclusively build the mild hit Nexus 4.

Deploying Android 4.3 first on a mid-range device like the L7 II could prove a transition move on part Google's part, the same report said, eventually paving the way for Key Lime Pie's market entry later this year.

Android version 5.0 is likely to land anytime in Q4 2013 with the Google-centric GS4, HTC One and Xperia Z exclusively absorbing the mobile operating system first.
