Latest Galaxy Note 3 Rumours: 3 Likely Specs & Features of the Samsung Phablet Surface
Samsung is definitely serving its third phablet offering this year and in time with the Galaxy Note 3's rumoured September release date, the tech giant is pulling off a surprise that could see the handset flying off the shelves in great numbers.
Reports from South Korea, courtesy of ETNews, have indicated that the Note 3 is indeed lined up for a massive launch later in the year. Pointing to an unnamed Samsung official, the publication claimed that it obtained the first confirmation that the Galaxy Note 2 replacement is real.
While not offering too much details of the planned launch date, the same executive dropped hints that point to the possible build and capabilities of the Note 3. Listed below are three of the new revelations.
Samsung is delivering a new look and feel via the Note 3
The phablet evolution continues with the Note 3 and while this new make is largely seen to present a larger screen display, likely measuring six inches at most, Samsung appears to be reducing its footprint, shedding heft and size, where and when possible.
The report was short on specifics but one thing is sure - on rollout time we will be getting a Note 3 that is slimmer, lighter and thinner than the Note 2. The object here is obvious: Samsung is addressing the 'handling issue'. It wants to come up with a big gadget that offers comfort when in use and only a redesign will achieve this end.
The Note 3 cam features are poised for jaw-dropping reactions
It is a given that the third-gen phablet from Samsung is wrapped with the 2013 standard shooting features, headlined of course by a 13MP rear sensor. To complement this, the tech giant will reportedly tossed in new capabilities - optical image stabilisation and 3X optical zoom.
While these additional features are enough reasons to attract hordes to the Note 3 fold they will remain as rumours until the smartphone finally comes out.
The Note 3 is a behemoth handset thanks to the latest CPU available
Buyers are getting a muscle car of a smartphone in the Note 3 but according to ZDNet Korea, the powerhouse under its hood remains a toss between Exynos Octa 5 and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800.
Most of Samsung followers know a great deal about Exynos - it is speedy, efficient and hardly power-hungry. On the other hand, Snapdragon 800 first came to consciousness as likely the power behind the Nexus 7 2.
The same report has indicated that Samsung is considering the Qualcomm chip to take advantage of its low power requirements, quick charging capability and compatibility with the more popular game engines plus the built-in LTE chip.
The possibility is Samsung would replicate the Galaxy S4 model: make different Note 3 flavours and distribute them in specific market destinations. Either way, buyers will get virtually the same experience with no bother at all on what lies beneath the phablet.
