Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Sony Xperia V finally leaked similar to what Xperia SP and T owners will get on the final release. It includes Project Butter, Xperia Themes and new Smart Social camera apps.

Android 4.3 Leaked

XDA forum member MN-Ming posted the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean leaked by EXR Team (same guys that leaked the firmware of Xperia T) for the Sony Xperia V which bears the build number 9.2.A.1.131.

Android 4.3 firmware features similar Xperia Z1 home launcher that Xperia SP and T will receive and several improvements such as Project Butter, Xperia Themes and Smart Social camera apps.

It runs on the Xperia V LT25i and may not be exactly as the final release scheduled this month or early February. Owners can manually flash the leaked firmware on the Xperia V as long as the device has an unlocked boot loader.

Release Delays and Xperia TX

Xperia SP, T and V owners are still waiting for the official rollout of the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean that was promised back in December 2013. Sony is currently polishing everything before sending out the firmware via Sony PC Companion, Bridge for Mac and Over-the-Air procedure.

Users should make a backup of all data stored on their smartphones once the firmware starts seeding due to a possibility of erasing everything since it runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean unless otherwise notified by the updater.

Xperia TX Android 4.3 Jelly Bean leaked according to EXR Team and claims that the ROM is designed for LT29i model with build version 9.2.A.1.131. However, PTCRB hasn't announced any official certification yet of Android 4.3 firmware for the smartphone.

According to feedbacks from users, the Android 4.3 ROM for Xperia T runs smoothly and it features Xperia Themes and Smart Social camera apps with other improvements included on Xperia SP and T. You can give it try on your device as long as it has an unlocked boot loader or you won't be able to flash it.

Android 4.4 KitKat

Sony hasn't changed anything yet on their official software update page for Xperia T and V regarding Android 4.4 KitKat update. The two smartphones are still under investigation on getting the latest Android version and hopefully Sony say "yes" since both have the hardware requirements to run it.

In case Xperia T and V are indeed getting Android 4.4, here are some things you'll possibly get from the new firmware:

1. Better multitasking

2. Faster performance

3. Improve battery life

4. Upgrades on graphics drivers

5. More Sony services such as Cloud Printing and Wireless Payment methods
