Leaked Pictures Suggest Launch of Gold iPad mini 2
Leaked pictures suggest that Apple is all set to launch Gold iPad mini 2.
Even though there is no confirmation that Apple will announce a gold version of iPad mini 2, the leaked pictures do suggest that a smaller version of iPad may finally be launched. The iPad mini 2 seems to be smaller than iPad 5. It does not, however, come as a surprise that the gold version is motivating people's presumption as the gold version of iPad 5s had a greater market sale than its rival counterparts.
Apparently, there is going to a fingerprint scanner to be included in the predicted gold iPad mini 2. There is every possibility that a beautiful retina display will be a part of the new version. Weibo, the social network in China, leaked high quality images of Gold iPad mini 2. The images show the gold casing as well as the Touch ID fingerprint sensor. The silver metallic ring which is shown around Home button suggests the same.
On the contrary, there are some other rumours making rounds, which suggest that Apple may not include Touch ID fingerprint sensor. They also suggest that there is a supply constraint. That is why the gold coloured version of iPad mini 2 may not be available as well.
There seems to be not much change in terms of design. There is going to be hardly any significant change in the rumoured Gold iPad Mini 2 from the present model. The present model is quite sleek in comparison to other tablets in the market. That is why it is not going to be a big issue even if there is not much of a change in design. However, the colour of gold is the major change which seems to be making all the difference. There is not yet any suggestion that the new gold model will have a price hike.
All the predictions and claims will be answered shortly in San Francisco, California at the press conference of the company.
Update:
iPad Mini gets a Retina Display, comes in silver, white, space grey and black.
