Lenovo has strengthened its Android offering for the past few quarters. It has maintained an aggressive push for its Android line. Currently, that strategy involves Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+.

The slate offers a multimode orientation with 18 hours of battery life and low price. Can Lenovo go against top players like Apple in the slate industry? Apparently, Lenovo has been picking up the right lesions. The components of its latest tablet assure the most out of every consumer's penny. The slate offers a 1080p screen unlike the "hiDPI" found in other tablets.

Competitors go for 2,560 x 1,600 display. But the device like Surface 2 and Surface Pro should prove that a lower resolution for a tablet is not so bad. Ten-inch tablets offer a great viewing experience with 1080 screen.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ follows an industrial design inspiration. It features an aluminum build complete with large aluminum stand. The stand offers a slight inclination ideal for typing. It is also heavy enough to hold the tablet if the user wishes to use a keyboard or watch a movie. The bulky appearance does not translate to its weight. It weighs around 1.3 lbs similar to the Nexus 10.

Under the hood, Lenovo separated ways from MediaTek and opted for Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core chip clocked at 1.6 GHz. The company did not disclose yet what type of Qualcomm system on chip (SoC) it chose, although analysts are betting on Snapdragon 400. It may also be Snapdragon 600 clocked at 1.9 GHz. Some experts believe Lenovo will not go for this, especially if it is aiming for a reasonable price. The Snapdragon 400 is a more logical choice.

The tablet's memory can be expanded up to 32 GB. The microSD allows up to 64 GB additional memory. Connectivity options include HSPA+ 42 Mbps, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G. There are no details yet if the device will have WiFi AC support. As mentioned, the slate will boast of 18 hours of battery life, thanks to the 900 mAh battery.

The battery life is more than the iPad Air. But the battery is smaller compared to the Air's 11,000 mAh battery.
