LG To Debut 21:9 Curved IPS Monitor In September; 34-Inch, 31-Inch And 24-Inch Gaming Monitors In The Offing
Come September, LG will be unveiling world's first 21:9 curved IPS monitor at the IFA 2014 event in Berlin, Germany. The upcoming monitor will feature an ultra wide 21:9 aspect ratio in addition to portraying the curved IPS display.
According to LG, the 34-inch IPS monitor guarantees impressive picture quality and provides multitude of connectivity options. In addition, the monitor will come with thumping screen resolution of 3,440 × 1,440 pixels. It is worth noting that, the monitor provides 178 degree viewing angle to extend immersive viewing experience, according to LG Blog.
This LG IPS monitor is tied to the model number 34UC97. It supports Thunderbolt 2 for high speed data connectivity. Seemingly, this is four times faster than the standard USB 3.0. Furthermore, it allows multiple devices to be daisy chained. The device also comes with an in-built Maxx Audio and 7W stereo speaker to provide stunning audio quality.
Apart from IPS curved monitor, LG will also unveil many other products/devices in IFA 2014. This includes the model number 31MU97 tied to a 31-inch Digital Cinema 4K Monitor with 4,096 × 2,160 pixels screen resolution. In addition, the monitor comes with the desired IPS panel. The device can reproduce up to 99% of Adobe RGB colour spectrum. This is a killer monitor worth every penny for those interested in photography, movie making and arts in general. The attention of detail and accuracy takes the viewing experience to a whole new level.
Furthermore, a new monitor with 24-inch display tied to model number 24GM77 will also be introduced. Apparently, this monitor is created targeting the gamers. The monitor can deliver scenes/actions with 144 Hz refresh rate. This refresh rate provides smooth, seamless and flicker-free actions on screen.
If this is not interesting enough, LG's Dynamic Action Sync (DAS) system that helps in cutting input lag and Black Stabilizer that provides stable black hue across various scenes are also packed in the 24-inch gaming monitor. Moreover, the 24-inch gaming monitor also features Motion 240, which helps reduce motion blurs by providing quicker response time of less than 1ms.
The upcoming PC monitors will be showcased at IFA 2014 scheduled between Sept. 5 and Sept. 10. Interested readers should check out the IPS monitor from LG's Twitter account.
