LG G2 Gets Secure, Enterprise-Ready Mobile Platform for Business
LG announced the launch of LG GATE on the recently released LG G2 smartphone. The new feature allows employees to access their company resources, in more simplified and secure manner.
Users can simultaneously run two operating systems on the LG G2, enabling them to keep their business information separate from their personal information. The LG GATE combines with the LG G2 to provide a seamless Private and Business Virtualization experience.

The feature can be particularly appealing to those employees who travel most of the time and use their LG G2 to stay connected to their company and access its resources. The employees can now do this from any location.
From the company's perspective, the new feature provides enhanced security to its IT infrastructure while at the same time not infringing upon the privacy of its employees, making it a win-win for both employers and employees.
There is a growing popularity for the "Bring Your Own Device" (BOYD) to the work place, concept. Companies have been trying to walk a tight rope, allowing employees the freedom to access its IT infrastructure and maintaining high security at the same time.
The new feature on the LG G2 supports a wide range of security software including - Data Encryption, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
LG is also working with VPN and MDM providers, to provide a better user experience for the business executives. The new feature also comes with its own encryption to secure the information stored and transmitted from the device.

The feature will be launched first in the U.S on the LG G2 smartphone, the date of its release in Australia is as of yet not known.
The LG G2 4G LTE 16 GB variant is on sale in Australia for about AU$659.95 and the 32 GB variant is priced at around AU$699.95.
