The LG G2 Mini was launched ahead of the MWC 2014 and although it is expected to compete against the "minis" in the market, it is going to take on the Motorola Moto G. Here is a specs and features comparison overview between the two.

Display and Processor

The newest mini smartphone from LG, the LG G2 Mini sports a 4.7 inches screen with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. On the other hand, the Motorola Moto G gets a 4.5 inches screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution that is way better than the LG G2 Mini.

In terms of processors, the LG G2 Mini will be available with the powerful 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC unit or 1.7GHz quad-core Tegra 4i unit processor. The Motorola Moto G is expected to have same level of performance with the same Snapdragon 400.

Memory and Camera

There is a huge difference in terms of the camera as the LG G2 Mini sports an 8MP sensor rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front camera while the Motorola Moto G gets a 5MP sensor rear camera with a LED flash and a 1.3MP front camera.

The LG G2 Mini has a bit of an advantage with its 8GB of internal storage with microSD card slot for memory expansion relative to the 8GB and 16GB internal memory without memory expansion of the Moto G.

The Verdict

Undoubtedly, the LG G2 Mini is a great addition to the "mini" family from companies like Samsung and HTC. Thus far, in terms of price, we cannot compare the two devices but the Motorola Moto G comes across as a device with better value for money provided that you are willing to compromise on a few features.
