LG G2 Official Android 4.4 KitKat Set for Q1 or Late March 2014; Exclusive Nexus 5 Features May Be Included
Official Android 4.4 KitKat for LG G2 release date has been confirmed and currently under testing phase before live update goes by January 2014.

After several weeks, LG finally decided to push an Android 4.4 KitKat update to G2 smartphone. It seems like Google and LG agreed to let Nexus 5 enjoy Android 4.4 privileges and exclusivity before other devices get their own run with the newest firmware.
LG doesn't lose anything with this flow but G2 owners may have a problem. Thankfully, the wait will finally be over by January 2014 for international users of LG G2.
According to the French network carrier SFR, LG G2 is confirmed to receive an official Android 4.4 KitKat software upgrade by late January 2014. The scheduled date is actually a revision of the first post noting November to December 2013 which was removed immediately by the French carrier.
Another detail caught by GottaBeMobile is the promising late Q1 2014 push update from a Canadian network carrier of Android 4.4 KitKat for LG G2. LG Canada backup the detail and owners in the region should expect the newest Android by late Q1 2014 or near the end of March next year.
According to the company representative, Court Elliot, LG Canada is planning to offer Android 4.4 firmware to carriers at the same time but no clear dates yet if the rollout will being on the same day across all network providers.

LG G2 owners will get several benefits from the latest Android 4.4 KitKat such as revamped Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean skins, UI and icons, solutions for the majority of user interface issues and various enhancements on performance.
