LG G3 Leaked Photos Reveal Brushed Metal Back Plate for May 27 Release
LG's G3 will be coming out this month. The company has released an official teaser of the device confirming the Quad HD screen. Likewise, there have been leaked press images as well showing the motif for LG's next flagship. According to the press render, LG's G3 will feature a brushed metal black plate. So what can people expect?
LG's G3 is expected to compete against products like the HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Sony Xperia Z2. According to a report by PC Advisor, LG announced the G2 back in August 2013. It also earned the website's Gold Award. The G2 flagship comes with a series of excellent features that it has set a standard for the next LG flagship. It is also the same reason why the LG G3 has been getting as much attention. The website considers it as one of the best smartphones out on the market presently. According to the report, the company has released invitations already about the G3 launch event. The launch event will be on May 27 in New York, London and San Francisco. There should be a launching event in Singapore, Seoul and Istanbul following the primary launch day.
"I'm writing to let you know that LG will be hosting an exciting event in London at the end of May to announce our next big global device after G2," PC Advisor quoted LG.
"With G2 being so well regarded, we have high expectations for its successor, as I'm sure you do as well. So to give our newest device a proper introduction in the presence of as many industry influencers as possible, we will be holding unveiling events in six global cities on May 27 and May 28."
Apart from the confirmed date, press renders of the upcoming phone have been leaked. As with the images leaked, the device comes in gold, black and white motifs. It also has a brushed metal finish making the handset look premium. According to a report by Phandroid, LG may only have gone for a brushed metal look but the company did not seem to invest on actual brushed metal. Rather, the device will feather faux-leather finish mimicking the metal look. LG has not confirmed final details of the device.
Other reported features include a 5.5-inch Quad-HD display, 13MP camera, Snapdragon 805 quad-core processing and 3GB RAM.
