LG G4 Launched: 4 Killer Reasons To Purchase This Genuine-Leather-Clad Monster
LG has officially introduced the 2015 flagship G4 in London and New York. The tech giant has apparently concentrated on four main areas in the LG G4 and they are: design, display, performance and camera.
LG G4 Features: Design
LG has reportedly utilised “genuine leather rear” that elevates the handset’s look to a whole new level. To top it off, the company has apparently used “vegetable tanning” on the LG G4. GSM Arena says, this terminology is widely used by the luxury leather industry. Plus, a mere 10 percent of the entire leather goods is seemingly processed this way and therefore, it brings in the exclusivity factor to the G4.
But in any case, readers should note that, not all LG G4 units will feature this leather back. Therefore, the removable plastic case is still in use and it will apparently come with a hammered pattern with two colour choices namely ceramic white and metallic gray. Furthermore, these covers will be slightly curved at a radius of 3000 mm. This marginal curve apparently helps the G4 by providing it a good 20 percent more rigidity and thereby, it guarantees better handling, notes GSM Arena.
LG G4 Features: Display
The new LG G4 specifications include a killer 5.5-inch display, aided by a QHD screen resolution. The tech giant has reportedly utilised a Quantum LCD panel that is known to provide excellent colour accuracy. To top it off, this display panel also offers 20 percent wider colour reproduction, along with 25 percent brightness improvement and a good 50 percent higher contrast when compared to the predecessor LG G3, notes GSM Arena.
LG G4 Features: Performance
Under the hood, the G4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 and not the latest Snapdragon 810. But then, GSM Arena says, LG apparently worked with Qualcomm to customise the chip and in the process, the performance level of Snapdragon 808 has been fine-tuned and hence, it can perform better than Samsung’s latest Exynos 7420 in everyday tasks. Plus, the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS apparently comes with LG’s new UX 4.0 overlay and this UI has reportedly removed the unnecessary bloatwares.
LG G4 Features: Camera
From the looks of it, LG has concentrated more on the camera unit of the G4. The device sports a solid 16 MP rear-facing sensor unit with a bright f1.8 lens. Therefore, this sensor will reportedly be able to offer 11 percent more accumulated light when compared to the f1.9 lens housed in the Samsung Galaxy S6, notes GSM Arena. In addition, the LG G4 also supports optical image stabilisation.
Moving on to the camera software, the camera app apparently provides a slew of advanced features and they are, high ISO settings, live histogram, manual shutter speed adjustment and the ability to record RAW images. Adding a cherry on top, the G4 comes with the capability to capture panorama shots up to a mind-blowing 104 MP, while the Galaxy S6 settles for 60 MP, notes the same site. Lastly, for the selfie enthusiasts, there is a gracious 8 MP shooter as the secondary camera unit.
