The LG G3 has received good reception from users and expert reviewers in 2014. This year, the LG G4 is also receiving good accolades from the public. The handset was pegged to feature the Snapdragon 810 chipset, but thermal overheating problems caused the South Korean company to power it with the Snapdragon 808 instead.
The LG G4 is also praised for its improved 16 MP IMX234 sensor from Sony, which can shoot good quality images in dim lighting conditions. It features optical image stabilization and laser autofocus. Such features are also expected to be available for the upgraded camera of the LG G5.
None of the LG smartphones available in the market have a biometric recognition feature. The LG Nexus 5X, scheduled to be unveiled on Sept. 29, will be the first handset from the company to arrive with a fingerprint scanner.
The LG G5 is speculated to be available for purchase in the first half of 2016. The South Korean company released the LG G Flex 2 at the start of this year. Hence, it is also rumoured to release its successor, the LG G Flex 3 by the beginning of 2016, reports the International Business Times.
