LG K10 will go on sale in South Korea
Last week, LG displayed the first two handsets in its latest K series of smartphones, K10 and K7 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas. The new line of smartphones will come packed with an advanced camera technology. Starting Jan. 14, the LG K10 will go on sale in South Korea.
LG’s Korean Newsroom announced that the entry-level K10 will be available for purchase in the domestic market at KRW 200,000 (AU$237 or US$165). The device will be sold by three major mobile carriers of the country including SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus, reports Korea Times. There is no information on when will the company launch the phone in other markets.
Sporting the stylish ‘glossy pebble’ design, the smartphone is aimed at a younger audience. The design has a modern look, complemented by LG’s new 2.5D Arc Glass. The company claims that the smartphone series would house “the most advanced camera on a smartphone in this category.”
The K10 model that goes on sale in South Korea sports a 5.3-inch 720p display. The handset measures 146.6 × 74.8 × 8.8mm. Weighing in at 140g, the smartphone is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU. The company will offer K10 in couple of RAM configurations including 1 GB, 1.5 GB, and 2 GB .
As reported by NDTV Gadgets, the LG K10 will house 8 GB or 16 GB of in-built storage with an expandable storage via microSD card slot. The handset runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with LG's UX 4.0 on top and packs a 2,300 mAh battery. The device will be available in Indigo Black and White colour options. Furthermore, connectivity options include Wi-Fi (802.11 b, g, n), Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and USB 2.0 port.
In the camera department, the device sports a 13MP main camera unit along with an 8MP front-facing shooter. The camera module features LG’s Gesture Shot and Gesture Interval Shot for taking hassle-free selfies.
