The Google Nexus 5 on release date may show off the LTE version of LG Nexus 4.

There were rumours saying that Google will bring LTE capability to the updated Nexus 4 and keep it as a cheaper alternative to the upcoming Google Nexus 5. Previous rumours were now backed up by the new Bluetooth SIG filing.

Tech web site Engadget spotted a fresh certification document of the Nexus 4 in the database of the Bluetooth Special Interest group, the body where all devices using the Bluetooth standard must register for certification.

The document pertains to the 1.1 hardware revision of the LG-E960, which savvy users will recognize as the Nexus 4. The description of the device got the pulse of the Android community racing: "LGE LTE Mobile Phone (LG-E960)".

However, many tech experts claimed that LG Nexus 4 LTE variant is just a figment of imagination. According to Ron Amadeo of Ars Technica, the 1.1 revision of the Nexus 4 is already old, with the latest revision currently on the market being 1.3. Indeed, back in May, when the Nexus 4 was recertified for Bluetooth 4 compatibility, it was already listed as Rev 1.1.

Moreover, there is no existing FCC documentation. The FCC is the body that actually licenses LTE devices, not the Bluetooth SIG.

According to reliable tipster @evleaks, Google Nexus 5 release date may happen on November 1 and coming in black and white colour options. The latest leaked image of the alleged Google Nexus 5 was from Twitter user @evleaks, which tipped correct and reliable leaks in the past. The latest render from @evleaks shows a two-toned Nexus 5 with a white backplate, but the post's text is even more revealing: "In white," it says. "11/1."

According to the rumours, some of the Google Nexus 5 features are quad core Snapdragon 800 processor chip at 2.3 GHz and a 5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 resolution using Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology. Also, the next Nexus smartphone will pack an 8 and 2 megapixels of back and front camera. Other features of the smartphone are 2 or 3GB of RAM, 2300mAh battery, and the Adreno 330 GPU. Google Nexus 5 will come pre-installed with Android 4.4 Kitkat that has new and improved features.
