For Nexus device owners, Google has rolled out the Android 4.4 KitKat OS update for Nexus 4, 7 and 10.

Google started to roll out the Over-The-Air Android 4.4 KitKat OS update for LG Nexus 4 with the build KRT16S. The LG Nexus 4 got the update later than its brother due to some delaying issues like the crucial bug that the company needed to fix first before rolling out the update.

Also, Google is rolling out a bug fix update for the old and new Nexus 7 and Nexus 10, which brings the build number on all three tablets to KRT16S. To download the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS update, hit the "check now" button in the Settings > About phone > System updates menu.

The latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS update is 240 MB in size. Some of the noticeable changes it will bring in the Nexus 4 handset are Hangouts app integrated with SMS and MMS features, Google Cloud Print. The smartphone's performance will also be improved.

Google silently slipped the new Android 4.4 KitKat OS Oct. 31 alongside the Nexus 5 smartphone. The new Android OS will bring the once Moto X-exclusive feature "Ok, Google," which is a feature that enables the users to "engage in conversation" with their Android device to clarify the search intentions. This is a Siri-like feature but Google claimed that Android's version is more efficient like speaking to a person or assistant to help you with what you want or need.

One of the most talked about features of the new Android 4.4 KitKat OS is full screen mode (full-screen immersive mode), which allows you to hide the system elements while running apps, like the notification and navigation bars. This allows users to hide the system elements while running some apps such as notifications and navigation bars. When using this feature, the apps and content are still visible through translucent bars but blend well in the background.

Android 4.4 KitKat also brings the new Storage Access Framework that will give users a centralized file management system enabling them to store data on a device. Data could be in various forms such as documents, photos and texts. This feature also unifies different storage apps such as the Drive, Dropbox, Gallery and Downloads folder in a central location for easy access.
