Will it be a triple salvo for Google on Oct 14 as indicators seem pointing to a grand release date involving not only the LG Nexus 5 but also the full-size Nexus 10 tablet and the new Android 4.4 or KitKat?

While the supposed launch day is largely unconfirmed, the normal Google path in pushing out its Nexus devices strongly suggests of something big brewing at the start of Q4 2013. This has been the case in 2011 and 2012 when the Google Nexus and Nexus 4 were unveiled respectively.

Both were previewed in time for the years' holiday quarter and now, there is no reason seen so far for the tech giant to change its game plan.

The date Oct 14 makes sense for the tech titan as it provides adequate time to prepare if indeed the goal is to distribute its new offerings in the few weeks to follow. Android watchers seem to favour the possibility of a triple outing on the same day.

That would mean Google will likely unwrap the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 10, the 2013 build, at the same time. Of course, to come with the formal announcement is the showcasing of the company's new Android baby, which it dubbed as KitKat.

This candy bar namesake is the power behind the two vanilla Android devices, and according to Gotta Be Mobile, this update is all set for unleashing on October. Another solid sign to support this assumption is the Google-Nestle promo that offers chances of getting Nexus gadgets for free plus significant Google Play Store credits.

This deal can be had by simply snapping up especially marked KitKat chocolate bars and consumers can start buying these sweets beginning in Oct 1 with one of Australia's biggest retail store, Woolworths, as key partner.

It is no secret that the new Android thrust will see Google collaborating with Nestle, which explains the precursor activities attached with the tech giant's release date plans for its Nexus gadgets.

As for the two Nexuses, Google has remained secretive about their details their existence is all but confirmed. Earlier this year, the company affirmed that it is building a new Nexus 10 but it stopped short of providing more information, including its makers and the basic specs to be served.

Yet in the past weeks, rumours implied that for this year, Samsung is out of the game and Asus will replace the Galaxy device maker. Beyond this info, the flow of news was cut short though it should be a safe bet that the 10-inch Android tab will carry upgraded components plus the same sticker price of its predecessor.

Its could not be discounted that a slight price hike will mark this year's Nexus 10 debut, especially if the slate is hitting stores with LTE connectivity, experts said.

The Nexus 5, conversely, is being primed as Google's answer to Samsung's high-end Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 and Apple's iPhone 5S. It is packed with powerful components under the belly but it differs with its rivals in one key area - the price point.

However, it wouldn't come as a surprise if the new Nexus 5 will hit the market with a bit of a price jump from the Nexus 4's $300 price tag. After all, having updated specs and feature should justify the increase, likely to be bannered by an LTE chip, Android watchers said.

Most likely, base model of the handset is the LG G2, which points to the following as its specs - at least a 5-inch display screen with 1080p resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip, 3GB of RAM and a massive battery.

Release date for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 10 plus KitKat or Android 4.4 is likely to be known on Oct 14.
