A Twitter page that went live this week seemed to suggest that Google's release date for the LG Nexus 5 is on Oct 28.

But the date like the Oct 23 mentioned in earlier reports remains speculative, according to Gotta Be Mobile, pointing instead to Oct 31, not as the actual Nexus 4 rollout but as the likely appointed day when the countdown for the stock Android's market debut begins.

The safest bet for the mobile phone's release date is middle of November 2013, which GBM said has been marked by Google as the timeframe to unleash its Android 4.4 build, which by now is popularly known as the candy bar KitKat.

It is widely believed that Google is dispatching its latest mobile operating system with the newest Nexus devices in the same way that Jelly Bean 4.3 became available at around the same time the Nexus 7 was uncloaked.

Note too that the chance is high that Google's final quarter thrust for the Nexus line up includes not only the Nexus 5 but its regular-size tablet, which the tech giant opted to label again as the Nexus 10.

Below are the Google offerings that Android fans will directly and indirectly experience when buying into the LG-assembled Nexus 5:

The Android sweet called KitKat

Android 4.4 was first known by the codename Key Lime Pie but when the Nexus 7 was finally formalised by its maker August this year, Google had a change of heart and decided to unwrap its mobile OS instead in the form of a candy bar.

When Jelly Bean 4.3 came out earlier this year, Android fans regarded it as a not-too-major jump. With KitKat, however, the bar of expectation was raised. Foremost of the updates that this choco serving should bring is the initial steps that likely would end the fragmentation that has been hampering Android's effective circulation.

Google Play Store 4.4 is shaping up

As KitKat is set to permeate the constantly expanding Android universe, Google, according to Android Police, is also planning to bump its apps repository, the Play Store, to the 4.4 version - giving this hub for all your Android needs a major facelift.

With the alleged UI and features alteration of the Play Store, Google reportedly aims to bring forth a digital depot that is more intuitive, making it a lot easier for Android device users to navigate their way to the applications they need or the book titles they have been hunting for.

Asus Nexus 10

The 10-inch Nexus tablet completes the Nexus 2013 ensemble. With its rumoured specs of a quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM and a 2560 x 1600 screen resolution, this Asus-built slate is definitely a worthy iPad 5 foe - packing a mix of crisp display panel on the outside with a power capability underneath that is a virtual muscle car.
