Just how much muscle Google is planning to unleash with the LG Nexus 5 release date? A new report says the stock Android phone is powerful enough to shame the likes of iPhone 5S and Galaxy S4.

In a recently leaked benchmark result, purportedly showing gaming simulations that involved the three mentioned handsets and the top 2013 hero Android smartphones, the Nexus 5 reportedly reigned supreme, according to Phone Arena.

The KitKat-powered device, the same report said, emerged as the top player in the field by clocking a top score of 23.1 frames per second, leaving behind the following: Sony Xperia Z1, LG G2, the GS4, HTC One and the iPhone 5.

Only the iPhone 5S was able to chalk an identical score with the Nexus 5, yet the results indicate too that more power is being reserved by the latter and it's highly likely that in another setting, the 5S will be readily toppled, Phone Arena said on its report.

And what is the engine behind this supposedly monstrous Nexus advantage? The report identified the Nexus 5 graphic powerhouse as the Adreno 330 GPU.

The same chip, according to the same report, kicks up the Nexus 5 in the same league or even better than the 5S, which have been generating raves among experts as a definitive graphics muscle car.

And if the Nexus 5 is more than able to measure up with the iOS smartphone Ferrari, it can do the same when pitted with the best of Android Porsches, the tech site declared.

The report further lifts up the increasingly solid reputation that the Google signature device has been establishing, also supporting the assumption that it is more of a high-end gadget than the mid-range that the Nexus 4 was.

That indeed would make the LG G2 as the more probable base model of the Nexus 5, somehow debunking earlier suggestions that Google is also exploring the likelihood of morphing the Moto X into a full-pledge Nexus model.

As such, it is becoming more realistic that the following specs and features can be expected from the soon-to-debut device: a 5-inch IPS LCD screen with 1080p resolution, a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU that works with 3GB of RAM, a 2700mAh battery and a rear snapper that boasts of a 13MP camera lens, pre-loaded with killer shooting features.

The latter attribute, of course, resides within the new Android 4.4 sweets that Google decided to wrap in candy bar called KitKat.

The LG Nexus 5 release date is set to happen anytime between Oct 15 and Oct 31 2013 and within the same period, KitKat should also break out from its wrapper.
