LG Optimus G2 Leaks Shows Volume Rocker in Design; LG Optimus G Pro to Arrive in 40 Countries
The LG Optimus G2 is one of the hottest upcoming phones to date, and the rumours have already built it to become a very powerful device.
In the latest round of leaks, an image has recently emerged, this time showcasing the back of the device.
As per IntoMobile, the image clearly photographs the volume rocker, which is located beside the camera.
Some of the other leaks surrounding the LG Optimus G2 include a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor and the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean to be running the device, a 5.2-inch HD IPS display, 3 GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and dual speakers.
The report also adds that there may be an August 7 launch event planned in New York, which can be the perfect opportunity to announce the device.
However, other reports have hinted that the launch will be on a later date, albeit on the same month. GSM Arena reports that, while invites have already been sent for a August 7 event, it's likely that the LG Optimus G2 device itself will see a launch in the home market on August 20.
It seems that, for some, this device may be the Nexus 5, as it has the same work and make as the device, though there are still hopes that a successor to the Nexus line will be made, despite LG's previous announcements of the discontinuation.
LG Optimus G Pro coming to several countries starting next week
Another hot phone that's about to take over the market is the LG Optimus G Pro, which has just been reported to see launch and distribution in over 40 countries worldwide.
LG's phablet is set to start its launch in Italy, following a route throughout Europe, then pushing forward to Latin America, Commonwealth of Independent States, and then the Middle East.
According to Phone Arena, this statement comes from a press release that targeted the expansion of the brand.
The U.K., on the other hand, may not be part of the expansion at all. The report relates it to how LTE networks in the U.K. are yet to develop further, as only EE can bring about 4G to devices in the area.
The LG Optimus Pro G is looking at a 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and a 3140 mAh battery.
It has since then won the Best LTE Device at an event in Amsterdam.
