Even before the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has been revealed to the public, many are now eying that the device will be waterproofed and made to be rugged just as the other Samsung devices have been in the past.

It seems that an active outdoor lifestyle is one of the things where these connective devices will be used, therefore, the added waterproofing value would come as a definite advantage.

Phones Review has looked into prospective customers who have voiced their opinions regarding the matter. It's also not uncommon to see this demand, considering that there has been a high reception for other competitors' rugged features, as seen in the Sony Xperia Z.

Samsung has already confirmed a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, and if rumors are to be believed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 may come with a flexible display, this will go perfectly with an Active version--a device that is waterproofed, but also less likely to break in those rugged conditions.

It won't hurt for Samsung to actually provide an Active Samsung Galaxy Note 3 without any additional cost, as this can be one of the more prominent features that it can offer over its upcoming competitors.

In the fast turnover of tablets, the key is to have more value-added offers to make it feel worth the consumer's money.

A contender to the Galaxy S4: BlackBerry A10

BlackBerry has promised users a total of four phone releases this year, and it seems that it will make good with its promise come November.

But as early as now, there have been leaks regarding the specs of the new BlackBerry device. For starters, the BlackBerry A10 Aristo, as it is dubbed, is said to compete with smartphones that have bigger screens, such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One.

This is due to the 5-inch display, reported to be the biggest screen made by the company, according to Stuff.tv. Other specs include a dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM. In addition, the report also emphasizes the new focus for the phone, which will now be more on gaming than anything else, which can be a good direction to take for the weak push for apps on BlackBerry World.

The November release date is still a peg, but SlashGear reports that the BlackBerry A10 may actually be going to the AT&T, though the company still has to verify these reports.

What is interesting is the fact that BlackBerry is now starting to tap the bigger market, announcing the decision days after bad news hit, such as the two executives leaving the company and hints of terrible sales even after its rebranding. Hopefully, the BlackBerry A10 would be the start of better tides.

Citing a report from SamMobile, it seems that there are unconfirmed issues that some Galaxy S3 users may be experiencing related to the TouchWiz, and this may also be the reason for the said delay.
