Lily Allen is as outspoken as ever in her new music video. The British pop star took a swipe at her contemporaries in “Sheezus,” giving Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Lorde not-so-subtle shout outs.

The 28-year-old “Smile” hitmaker proved that not even a hiatus in the recording industry could stop her from speaking up her mind in the new single, in which she called her fellow pop stars “divas” who wouldn’t settle for second place.

Her new catchy track speaks of her desire to go back in the game, acknowledging that she can’t do the same thing as before because the “game is changing.”

She also references some of the women top hitmakers of today, saying that she plans to steal the “crown” from the “divas.”

For people familiar with Allen’s style, they won’t be shocked with her outspokenness anymore. She has gotten quite a reputation for disparaging other musicians and celebrities in the past. So apart from calling Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Lorde divas, as well as sarcastically calling Gaga a martyr, Allen sounds pretty tame in “Sheezus.”

“Sheezus” is also the name of her third studio album.

Meanwhile, Allen admitted that she uses Twitter to boost her ego, but it’s not always a positive experience for her.

“I don’t think Twitter brings out the best in me to be honest,” she told News Corp. “I need affirmation the whole time, I need people to tell me the whole time what I’m doing is OK, so it’s actually bad for me to have Twitter because I can get validation every 15 minutes if I want it.

“I have to consciously not go on there as much as I used to. Otherwise it becomes all narcissistic and weird and I start to believe it. If it’s a good week everyone loves you and if it’s a bad week the entire world hates you!”

Allen has over 4.65 million followers on Twitter.
