Lindsay Lohan Says No To A Commercial Project That 'Mocks Her Issues'
Despite not having a movie or TV show for the past months, Lindsay Lohan reportedly rejected a project offered by Burger King. The actress is said to be appalled that she would be offered such a humiliating project because it was obviously mocking her and her serious issues.
Page Six reports the “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” star said no to a project, even if it had been a while since she put her acting chops to good use. However, the insider said there is a good reason behind this rejection of Burger King’s offer. According to the insider, Lohan was asked to don a Spicy Chicken Fries Box and then hold up a chicken fry as if it is a cigarette. Apart from these, she also needed to deliver a spicy monologue. Lohan’s team thought this is too much, almost mocking her issues, the insider said.
The insider added that Lohan and her managers tried to provide some alternative concepts but all of these were just shut down. On the other hand, a source revealed it was Lohan who was too demanding because she wanted “creative control.” Burger King had choice but to say forget it because of Lohan’s assertiveness. The source reportedly made a snide remark against the actress too, for being overbearing when she was the one who needs a job. “She’s broke, sleeping at different guys’ apartments, but she thinks she’s Elizabeth Taylor,” the source said.
The once celebrated young star, who was launched into fame by the iconic movie “Parent Trap,” recently turned 29. She celebrated her birthday quietly and intimately with family and friends in Covent Garden. The bash, which was held at the Magnum’s Pleasure Store left the star happy, who donned an angelic white dress on the said occasion. Mirror UK reported that she blowed out the candles of her cake while her friends were clapping along. Lohan went to her her Instagram afterwards to share a picture of the event and captioned it with a message of gratitude.
