Rubin Kazan midfielder Yann M'Vila has been spotted at the stands designated for Liverpool fans, as the Reds took on Everton in a Merseyside Derby.

The sighting sparked rumours that the French international could be on his way to Anfield.

However, a different angle may be perceived as M'Vila and Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho are the closest of friends and that the visit was just to watch his compatriot take on the pitch.

The two have played alongside each other since their teenage years.

The thought of M'Vila wearing the red uniform may be farfetched at the moment, but friendship alone is a great influence that can make the move possible.
