Lumia 830 to be Sold With ‘Microsoft Mobile’ Branding, Leaked Images Surface As It Passes Certification In Brazil
Newly leaked images of the Lumia 830 handset have surfaced. The handset with the model number RM-985 has passed certification in Brazil and its documentation process has revealed new images. The handset is expected to get unveiled at the upcoming IFA 2014.
According to the leaked images made available by Windows Central, the new Lumia 830 handset will be carrying Microsoft Mobile brand name. At the front side of the handset, you can still see the Nokia logo. GSMArena claims that we may not see the Nokia logo in the future smartphones that carry Microsoft Mobile branding.
The reason why the new Microsoft Mobile handset is sporting the Nokia logo is that it still wants to attract loyal Nokia customers. The leaked photos indicate that the handset will be sporting a plastic body with a metallic appeal.
Microsoft Mobile Lumia 830 Specifications
The specifications of the Lumia 830 is such that it will be a mix of midrange and upper range smartphone. The certification process confirms the Lumia 830 specifications that have been already leaked on the web.
The Nokia Lumia 830 will be slimmer compared to all the Lumia smartphones that are available in the market so far. It has a physical button for starting camera on its right side along with volume controllers. The 3.5mm audio jack and the charging port are placed at the topside of the handset.
The handset measures 139.4 x 70.7 x 8.5mm. It comes with a microSD slot and removable battery. It also supports 4G LTE connectivity.
The Microsoft Mobile Lumia 830 will be sporting a 4.7 inch display screen with 720p resolution. The handset is expected to feature a 13MP or 20MP PureView technology driven rear camera and a 5MP camera above the display screen. The 5MP front-facing camera hints to the fact that the handset is aimed at those users who love to snap selfie photos.
The Lumia 830 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB RAM. It will be running on Windows Phone 8.1 OS. In US, the Lumia 830 is expected to come on leading networks like AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.
Microsoft has not revealed the Lumia 830 specifications and features officially. However, the Redmond based software giant have sent invitations for the upcoming IFA 2014 tech show. Microsoft will be present at event that is to be held at Berlin reveal two new smartphones, namely the Lumia 830 and the Lumia 730.
