MacBook Air with retina screen display may come next year.

According to market research company DisplaySearch, Apple will introduce retina display to MacBook Air line.

David Hsieh wrote in his note to investors that Apple may have strayed away from its top position as an early adopter in display technology. However, this is about to change next year as Apple will innovate its upcoming products in the late 2013 to 2014.

Retina screen display is bound to MacBook Air. The report continued that Apple will bring Retina display technology to its ultra-lightweight notebook next year.

MacBook Air received commendations for its longer battery life. However, it also received criticisms for not having a high resolution screen display. This may change next year as the 2014 model will include a retina display with low power chips to maximize its performance and power consumption.

The new MacBook Air is powered by Intel's Haswell processor, which delivers faster and better performance. Also, MacBook Air boosted its battery life and boasts more than 12 hours of battery life to complement the new chipset of the laptop. The newly-released MacBook Air faster wi-fi feature just like the MacBook Air. MacBook Air packs 802.11ac wi-fi, which means faster connectivity for the device.

It is still unspecified when this MacBook Air will slip in to the market. The refreshed MacBook Air was released last month.

Meanwhile, consumers are still waiting for the refreshed MacBook Pro 2013. The upcoming Apple's laptop is expected to arrive this month.

MacBook Pro 2013 with Haswell processor release date is rumoured to happen on October 22. The laptop will arrive along with the refreshed iPads. Aside from Intel's new Haswell processor, MacBook Pro 2013 is expected to pack new and revolutionary features including faster Wi-Fi connectivity and storage options as well as long battery life. The updated MacBook is also claimed to include Thunderbolt 2 GPU and 4K screen resolution.

However, Apple is still mum on the details of the release date and features of the laptop and other devices.
