A day before Apple's October 22 event in San Francisco, expectations from several sources continue to firm up. Macrumors Roundups section offers worthy overview of expected updates of the MacBook Pro 2013, iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5.

Meanwhile, Ming-Chi Kuo, analyst of the prominent KGI Securities, released a report outlining his expectations for the Apple Oct. 22 event. The research focuses on the MacBook Pro 2013, iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5.

Kuo's report says that Apple will be launching a lighter and slimmer fifth-generation iPad and iPad Mini with Retina display. Although some sources believe that Apple is unlikely to introduce Retina display to iPad Mini 2, Kou trusts that Apple will be able to bring Retina display to the iPad Mini. However, gold colour option and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor will be unlikely available into the iPad line-up as production components for these features are being prioritised for the iPhone 5s.

MacBook Pro 2013

MacBook Pro 2013 will be moving to Intel's newest Haswell chips for improved battery life and performance to take on added stretch of mileage for arduous tasks in a single charge. It will likely carry over the 2012 13-inch and 15-inch version with Retina and non-Retina display units. FaceTime camera will be expected to be upgraded to 1080p quality.
