Consumers anticipating the MacBook Pro 2013 and new Mac OS release date may have to wait until the end of October.

According to the sources cited by 9to5Mac, Apple pushed the release of the new Mac OS along with the new Macs later to focus on the next iPhone announcement tomorrow. There are chatters that the release of the iOS 7 for iPad is also delayed.

The upcoming MacBook Pro may come with battery life and support for 4k displays as well as Intel's Haswell processor. A major boost on battery life should be expected that can last up to 12 hours or more with extensive use.

The rumoured October launch was seconded by Macotakara and The China Times. They cited supply chain sources saying that Apple is preparing for a Haswell powered MacBook Pro in October.

Moreover, new MacBook Pro benchmarks appeared online showing an Intel Haswell processor and a lack of a dedicated GPU. With the inclusion of the new Intel processors yield to a better integrated graphics solution which could help Apple deliver better battery life. The new processor also includes support for 4K displays, which is the latest high-resolution monitors and HDTVs in the market.

Meanwhile, the OS X Mavericks was announced at the WorldWide Developers' Conference back in June and has been in beta version since. The most recent beta version of the OS arrived earlier this week that included several enhancements.

This hinted the imminent release date of the new Mac OS. Some of the improvements that consumers should expect are "multiple-monitor support, power-user features in Finder, a faster Safari, Maps and iBooks apps, and a redesigned Calendar application."

However, Apple has not confirmed yet the MacBook Pro 2013 release date rumours. Thus, buyers may have to sit tight and wait whether the new laptop will make an appearance at Apple's press event on Sept. 10.
