Apple has confirmed that it will stage an event on Oct 22 and while expectations are focused on iPad unveilings, the MacBook Pro 2013 line up is believed as part of the whole package that gets unwrapped.

The Apple laptop refreshes have been the centre of speculations in the past few months mostly because it said to usher the Intel Haswell era within the OS X universe and partly too of the new Maverick platform debut.

The portable device is seen to benefit from major upgrades as Apple doubles its efforts to rekindle consumers' interest on conventional computing tools.

What will come out with the new MacBooks in the days ahead are anticipated to upstage the previous builds and listed below are what we believe as the confirmed killer features to rapt would-be laptop buyers:

Extended battery life

Each MacBook iteration promises to deliver more power juice, which is made possible with the deployment of massive and higher battery rating with the unit. Also, optimal adjustments are made with the software and hardwares to ensure that their functions are maximised with the efficient use of available energy.

The latter is one of the major breakthroughs achieved as Intel's Haswell processing muscle enters the Apple traditional computing system. MacBook on Haswell delivers a twin-punch deal for buyers - sufficient computing power on the go and longer battery hours.

Per Jefferies' Peter Misek: "MacBook Pro line will see an upgrade to Haswell chips, drastically improving the battery life," as reported by financial blog site Barron's.

More powerful graphics

Within the same board that the MacBook Pro will stand, Apple engineers have reportedly planted the Iris graphics, which for users would mean that the Retina flavour of the laptop can rely on a sufficiently potent GPU that makes computing not only productive but also immersive.

PCI Express-based flash storage

This addition means that data processing in the MacBook environment will be super-fast, quick enough to eliminate the possibility of lags and freezes.

Speedy wireless connectivity

The upcoming MacBook Pro will be equipped with the latest Wi-Fi standard, 802.11ac, which promises not only breakneck wireless router access but also a more stable net surfing minus the wire hassles.

The Maverick factor

Two words are mainly attached with the new OS X Maverick - killer features, which are first associated with the iOS 7 on iPhones and iPads. Apple pledges a whole new computing experience once the Mountain Lion successor is released over the next few weeks.
