MacBook Pro 2016 & Samsung Chromebook Pro to clash head to head with top features & specs
Samsung is about to release a plethora of products including smartwatches, TVs and of course the highly-anticipated Galaxy S8. However, the company is also reportedly working on a Samsung Chromebook Pro that would take forward the growing list of Chromebook 2-in-1s with 360-hinges.
If a leak from SamMobile is to be believed, the Samsung ChromeBook Pro will run on Chrome operating system and feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen display. The display will have a resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels and 400 nits brightness.
The Samsung Chromebook Pro will have a 360-degree hinge and a stylus named PEN. The device will sport a 32GB onboard storage, 2GHz hexa-core Rockship processor and 4GB of RAM, writes Gizmodo.
A chiclet-style keyboard with curved keycaps has also been introduced to the device. The laptop could be built of aluminium with an inbuilt slot for the PEN.
Now that Google has introduced Play Store to the Chrome OS, the Samsung Chromebook Pro will be able to play android apps. As per the leak, the Samsung Chromebook 2 may last up to 10 hours on full charge. It will have a headphone jack, USB Type-C ports and SD card slot.
As per a listing on Adorama (not available now), the Samsung Chromebook 2 will come with a one-year subscription, ad-free subscription of the AirDroid app. The laptop may be pre-ordered for US$499 (AU$650) and Samsung may release the device anytime now. Internally, the Chromebook project is known as “Kevin.”
On the other hand, another highly-anticipated device, the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is also taking the Internet by storm with fans waiting eagerly for the Cupertino-based tech giant to announce the device. The highly-anticipated device is expected to receive some major upgrades and rumours have been making rounds on the Internet for a long time now.
It will be interesting to see how the Samsung Chromebook Pro will fare against the Apple MacBook Pro 2016.
