Magician Prankster Rahat Hossain's 'Hoverboard Prank' Shocks Random Victims [VIDEO]
On Feb. 4, 2015, MagicofRahat published a YouTube video titled "Hoverboard Prank," a clip that has gone viral shortly after its upload. It shows self-proclaimed "magician prankster" Rahat Hossain pulling off a prank in which he appears to levitate while both feet are planted firmly on a fake hoverboard.
In order to perform the illusion, Rahat utilised a common magician's levitating trick to fool random passersby into thinking that he is actually floating off the ground. In the video, he asks passersby to watch him perform the trick and to tell him just how high he manages to reach. The prank victims appear to be very shocked and amused upon witnessing the trick; one victim in particular was apparently skeptical, going as far as to inspect the spot on the ground that Rahat has just floated off of. Another one almost dismisses the whole trick and instead lectures the prankster on how to balance his body weight.
As far as pranks where a hoverboard is concerned, professional skateboarder Tony Hawk has also been involved in a highly elaborate hoverboard prank during 2014 wherein he was featured in a video promoting the world's first hoverboard. He apologized to those who had believed it after the whole thing was revealed to be a hoax. Later on in the same year, Tony is seen doing a promotional video for a real one, dubbed Hendo hoverboard, invented by Californian company Arx Pax.
MagicofRahat's "Hoverboard Prank" video has been viewed over 800,000 times to date, and has currently earned over 17,000 thumbs-up. Watch this video here.
