Manchester United are keeping a close eye on Bayern Munich Defender Dante amid an absence of a contract renewal for the 30-year-old to keep him at the Allianz Arena.

"I'm thankful for the Manchester United interest, it will all be sorted out by the end of the month," said Dante.

The Brazilian is looking to secure "one last big contract" as he is already nearing the twilight of his career.

His agent, Marcus Marin, admitted that they are still holding talks with the Bundesliga club, but revealed that his talent could seek to play elsewhere, should they fail to reach agreeable terms with the Bavarians.

"We are currently in negotiations with Bayern over a new year and his first option is to play there," Marin told The Independent.

"He is very happy in Germany at the moment but if nothing can be arranged in the next few weeks then of course he would have to explore his options elsewhere."

"If things don't work out with Bayern then England would definitely be somewhere he is interested in playing."
