Is Mark Zuckerberg Steve Jobs’ Heir?
Many speculated that Mark Zuckerberg is Steve Jobs' heir when it comes to the legacy that the genius innovator left.
After coming to terms with the death of Apple's ex-chief last Oct. 5, media went frenzy and came up with different stories about the legendary tech innovator.
The legacy that he left and his contributions to society are incomparable.
However, Steve Jobs is often compared to Facebook's founder Mark Zuckerberg and the latter is said to be following his footsteps in achieving the same greatness in life.
One of the obvious similarities is the two both dropped out of college and started their technological firms at a very young age. Steve Jobs dropped out of Reed and Zuckerberg from Harvard.
This is often the case for computer geniuses. Moreover, both rose to be prominent figures not only because of their inventions but because of their personal life as well.
Mr. Zuckerberg seems to be following Jobs' footsteps evident in Facebook's F8 event. However, Mark Zuckerberg still lacks media-loving personality and showmanship.
Another deeper similarity is their strong belief and conviction. The two gave consumers more options and a louder voice. Moreover, they courted the masses without submitting to the crowd.
Upon Apple's introduction of its new product - the iPhone 4S - and the founder's death, the company rose to the top of the stock market with $354 billion, making it the top technology firm in the world.
